Efficiency, Transparency, and Accuracy: Reata’s Journey with Datanomix

Datanomix

Reata’s innovative solutions are a direct result of our open-mindedness to embracing cutting-edge technologies that enhance our abilities. Our recent implementation of Datanomix, a robust machine monitoring system, is a perfect example.

After testing various tools, Reata discovered that Datanomix was the perfect fit. Let’s explore how this innovative software has been a game changer in our data and machine monitoring processes.

Why Datanomix?

Overcoming Previous Challenges

Before Datanomix, we tried other machine monitoring systems that required extensive custom reports in platforms like Tableau Pulse. While these solutions worked, they involved manual effort – and therefore inefficiencies. Instead of trying to force a system to work, we chose to search for a better solution—and that’s how we discovered Datanomix.

Forming the Ideal Partnership

Datanomix stood out because of its intuitive design and deep understanding of manufacturing operations. Unlike other platforms, Datanomix creates individualized reports tailored to shops like ours, eliminating the need to build custom solutions. Their proactive approach to helping customers utilize their system effectively aligned nicely with our goals and addressed the pain points we had with previous machine monitoring systems.

Real-Time Insights

Datanomix provides instant, actionable data for professionals on the shop floor and in management. Whether it’s identifying inefficiencies in a specific run or assessing if a machine can meet its targeted production timeline, this system delivers clear answers that inform our future planning.

Seamless Integration with Our Systems

One of the most exciting features is the tool’s integration with our existing software ecosystem. Interconnectedness with our quoting platform, Paperless Parts, and our ERP system, Fulcrum, translates to improved quoting accuracy, real-time feedback, and streamlined production.

Typically, machine shops use quite a bit of guesswork in their quoting. Here at Reata, we prefer a more granular approach, quoting each service and machine process. Since integrating Datanomix with Paperless Parts, our team can now compare real-time production data with historical quotes to adjust pricing and lead times when quoting a part. That way, our customers receive the most accurate (and timely) quotes possible.

Simple Implementation and Adoption

Another standout feature of Datanomix has been its ease of implementation. Within weeks, our team was up and running, analyzing data and using it to make informed decisions. The intuitive interface ensures everyone—from production staff to executives—can understand and act on the insights provided.

While we appreciate how eagerly our dynamic team embraced this tool, we’d like to recognize the active role the Datanomix team played in our adoption of the platform. They participated in production meetings, offering guidance as needed and ensuring the system was aligned with our workflows. The Datanomix team’s hands-on support demonstrated their commitment to our success with the platform and led to unanimous buy-in across our organization.

Streamlined Training

Datanomix has been a game changer in tracking how our machines run, but it’s also offered us valuable insight into how people operate these machines. If an operator isn’t achieving the same level of efficiency as their colleagues, Datanomix gets into the weeds of why this is happening. Perhaps the operator needs to spend more time learning this skill in our standardized training program, or maybe something is going wrong in that particular run. Thanks to Datanomix, our team can identify what’s happening and address it immediately, leading to training opportunities for our people and greater efficiencies in the long run.

How Datanomix Implementation Benefits Our Customers

Implementing Datanomix isn’t just a win for Reata—it’s a significant value-add for our customers. Here’s how:

On-Time Delivery

With enhanced visibility into production timelines and machine capabilities, the Reata team is better equipped to meet delivery dates, making us a stronger and more reliable partner for our customers.

Enhanced Product Quality

Because Datanomix has enhanced our ability to identify inefficiencies and our approach to training (as mentioned above), the Reata team ensures that every part we produce meets the highest standards every time.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Our Partnership

Datanomix is far more than a software provider—they act as a true partner in our contract manufacturing success. From their active involvement during implementation to their ongoing support, the Datanomix team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure we maximize the value of their platform. Their commitment to our success is unmatched, and the results have been transformative.
