On automatic models bearing temperature is monitored with thermostat preset at 250°/121°, which is placed on the bearing inner race. When the inner race reaches 250°/121°, the unit and control light shut off – the bearing is ready for mounting.
Model Super – BH-02-S

CARRYING BAG SOLD SEPARATELY

Bearing temperature is monitored with a 250°/121° temperature indicator crayon, which is used to mark the bearing inner race. When this mark melts, the bearing is ready for mounting.

Proper Installation means longer life

ConeMount bearing heaters can accommodate inner-race diameters from 3/8 to 18 inches, which means you can service just about anything in your facility. It takes between 1 and 12 minutes – depending on bearing size – to reach optimal temperature, a fraction of the time using other methods. By heating the bearing, the diameter increases enough to easily slip the bearing onto the shaft without hammering or using a press. When the bearing cools, it is flush, square and tightly attached to the shaft. Improper installation is the leading cause of bearing failure. Methods such as blow-torching can distort the bearing and oil baths cannot be used on sealed bearings. Installing bearings with ConeMount will lower cost, reduce chatter and vibration, shorten downtime and increase the life of your equipment.

Manufacturing Resources

Convenient repair at the work site

On the manufacturing floor, there are many machines that use press-fit bearings. CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, fans and almost anything with an electric motor will eventually need bearings replaced. Induction heaters are bulky and heavy, often requiring the transport of a 250-degree part across the shop floor. ConeMount bearing heaters are lightweight (less that 7 pounds) and portable, so you can perform preventive maintenance and repairs anywhere.

Everything you need to properly install press-fit bearings is in the transport bag

Keeping Your Fleet on the Road

Downtime is expensive. Not only is your equipment idle, you’re also paying personnel to make repairs.

So time literally is money.

ConeMount bearing heaters are lightweight, portable and fast, allowing repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed at the vehicle. Induction heaters are large, bulky and heavy creating the temptation to transport 250-degree parts across the shop floor to the vehicle. Using a ConeMount heated at the job site means uniform heating and quick transfer from heater to shaft. Everything you need to properly install press-fit bearings is in the transport bag, so you can keep your fleet running with minimal downtime.

The Right Tool for the Job – Wherever It Is

Mobile service technicians encounter many repair calls caused by failed bearings. These can be in HVAC units, elevators, conveyors, supply fans and pumps. Almost anything with an electric motor will eventually need bearings replaced. Your customers want repairs made quickly, and the work site can be on a hot roof, in an elevator shaft or in a confined space.

ConeMount bearing heaters work anywhere there’s an electrical supply.

Preventive maintenance and repairs anywhere.

Lightweight and portable.
