Reata continues to add to our capabilities and have brought two new Mazak machines online in the past 6 months.

We have another Integrex to add to the i200S.  The new one is an i400S and gives us more capacity along with increasing the envelope of parts that we can handle.  The Integrex i400S allows us to run parts as long as 59.8” and diameters up to 25.9”.  This machine has 4” barfeed capacity which adds to our “lights out” capabilities at Reata.

We have also added a Nexus 50002D horizontal machining center with a 12 pallet HCN4000 Hi Rise Palletech System.  This machine has a 19.7” (500mm) pallet with a Y axis travel of 28.74” (730mm).  This machine has a 120 tool magazine and a max spindle speed of 18,000 rpm.  It can also perform full NC rotary functions for surfacing.

Reata has taken a new direction with this technology and has expanded our capabilities and ability to run lights out.

Multi-Tasking Pumps Up Shop’s Machining Capability

Reata Engineering & Machine Works, Inc. has recently added a Mazak Integrex i200s  multitasking 5 axis machine.  This machine enables Reata to complete many parts in one operation.  In other words, it incorporates the “Done in One” philosophy.   This concept incorporates all machining processes from raw material input through final machining – in just one machine.  It provides Reata with the ability to reduce production lead-time, improve machining accuracy, reduce operator-introduced errors, allow for economical lot sizes, and provide 21^st century automation.  As a result, the “Done in one” concept not only streamlines production, it improves overall shop management.

Reata sees this Multi-Tasking 5 axis technology as a means to provide their customers with an economical way to machine the complex and highly engineered parts.  Reata’s customers have to compete in a global economy that is requiring complexity to be delivered with a quick turn, good economics, and high quality.  The Mazak Integrex allows us to do just that, 21^st century products delivered in 21^st century speed.
